FBC (Fusion Battery Combiner)

This unique FBC (‘Fusion Battery Combiner’) combines the power of multiple batteries, by allowing them all to power your bike at the same time! This device works with our Auxiliary Battery Wiring Harnesses (sold separately). The batteries can be of different Ah capacities; they will discharge in unison (voltage), once the voltage is equal between them. The FBC also prevents a higher voltage battery from discharging into a lower charged battery; this is crucial for your safety! Charging multiple batteries in this configuration will require charging one battery at a time, or by using two separate chargers; batteries can will not be charged together, from a simple charger by design.

HOW IT WORKS:

During use the battery with the higher voltage will power the bike until such time when both batteries have equal voltage, then both batteries will power the bike simultaneously, giving you the combined current of both. The batteries should have good overlap in voltage (ideally the same). For example, combining a 48v and a 52v battery will work, but is not ideal since there is little overlap in voltage between the two batteries. A 48v & 72v battery have no overlap, thus they would not work together. The capacity (range) while using this device can be greater than when using each battery sequentially, since the bike can then operate at a higher average voltage (the “Sweet Spot”). One big advantage to using this combiner is to allow for charging your battery to just 85%, thus relieving the stress on the cells, and still yielding excellent capacity, this greatly prolonging battery life!

• 50A QUAD HIGH-EFFICIENCY - Supports up to 4 batteries, two identical outputs, a lower voltage drop than standard build, handles up to 50A (Vd~0.12)

Additional Notes:

• The Quad FBC has two identical outputs (you can use either side or both to two load devices)

• Batteries require separate charging; they will not charge simultaneously via the FBC

• A Battery Extension Cable may be required for your additional battery(s) (not included)

• New, Premium batch semiconductors is being sold, denoted as “High-Efficiency” have lower voltage drop than the standard build, for ultra efficiency

• We sell XT60 caps for any unused ports on the FBC. While there will not be any current flow out from these ports, voltage is present, and may be capped off if you wish.

• You may use our female “Dummy Cap” to cover unused ports on the FBC for added protection

  DEVICE USE RESTRICTIONS:

NOTE-1: The FBC may get warm during use; airflow is crucial for it to remain cool.

NOTE-2: The FBC is not covered for replacement, if rated amperage is exceeded even intermittently or if no airflow is available

NOTE-3: Affixing the FBC by the cover (lid) is not advised; it may pull the cover off!

NOTE-4: This combiner is not designed for use with motors/controllers which have “REGEN” capability
